Your personal data will be processed by OSCAR APP LIMITED (company no. 16336226), with registered office at 3rd Floor, 1 Ashley Road, Altrincham, Cheshire WA14 2DT, hereinafter "OSCAR", "application", "OSCAR application", "us" or "we". OSCAR is the Data Controller for the processing of personal data within the meaning of the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
1.1 Name, mobile phone number, email address, and service address (usually where the requested services will be provided), and, if applicable, billing information such as a tax or VAT number. 1.2 Information related to possible disputes and/or complaints.
We process your personal data for the following purposes: 2.1 Management of the provision of services: The processing of your data is necessary for fulfilling the services you request, including securely sharing relevant data with service providers travelling to the location you specify. 2.2 Monitoring and quality of service: We may contact you to confirm your satisfaction with the services provided and to ensure service quality. 2.3 Direct marketing: We may send you information and updates about our services and promotions. This processing is based on your consent, which you may withdraw at any time by clicking the "Unsubscribe" link at the bottom of our emails. 2.4 Compliance with legal obligations: We may share data where required by law, including with judicial, administrative, or regulatory authorities. 2.5 Complaint management: We may process your data to analyse and resolve any complaints regarding services. Data will be kept for as long as necessary to address the matter.
3.1 Your personal data will be processed with your consent from the moment you register in the OSCAR app. 3.2 We collect and process the personal data you submit during installation and use of the OSCAR application to fulfil the requested service. 3.3 OSCAR may process your data for the purposes of legitimate interests, such as monitoring service quality, preventing fraud, or defending legal claims. 3.4 OSCAR may also process your personal data to ensure and demonstrate compliance with legal obligations under UK law and regulations.
4.1 Your personal data will be shared with OSCAR Service Providers who perform the requested services. They will receive your first name and service address only. Service Providers may contact you through the app or via anonymised phone connections (your number is not disclosed). 4.2 Ratings and feedback provided by Users about service quality are anonymous — Service Providers will not see your name or personal comments. 4.3 Your personal data may also be shared with other data processors or third parties to comply with legal or contractual obligations (e.g. courts, regulators, or law enforcement). 4.4 Your personal data will be processed and stored within the United Kingdom and, if necessary, in the European Economic Area (EEA) in accordance with adequate regulations ensuring equivalent data protection standards.
Your requests will be handled with care to ensure your rights are fully respected. You may be asked to verify your identity before we share or amend any personal data. At any time, you may request to: 5.1 Access and Rectification: You may access or edit your personal details directly in the OSCAR app. If this function is temporarily unavailable, please contact us at [email protected]. 5.2 Withdrawal of consent and deletion of personal data: 5.2.1 You may withdraw your consent at any time. This will not affect processing carried out before withdrawal or data retained for legal obligations (e.g. accounting, dispute resolution, fraud prevention). 5.2.2 Uninstalling the OSCAR app does not automatically delete your account or data. Deletion occurs only upon request to cancel your OSCAR account, which will end access to the app’s services. 5.2.3 We will respond to deletion requests within one month via email. 5.3 Portability: You have the right to receive the personal data you provided to us in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format.
6.1 Your data will be stored as long as your OSCAR account is active and for one year after deactivation. 6.2 Financial records are retained for seven years, in line with UK tax law. 6.3 Where fraud or criminal activity is suspected, data may be retained for up to ten years. 6.4 Service history data is kept for two years and then anonymised for analytical purposes. 6.5 If any legal claim or dispute is ongoing, data will be retained until the final resolution of the case.
